Emotional Eating Isn’t Something We Get Over – It Is Something We Learn to Get Through

I am an emotional eater – the difference is simply that I know that about myself. Growing up, I learned to use food to cope with feelings and stress. Now, the BIG difference in my life is how I relate to the part of me that runs to the cupboard when I am feeling sad, anxious or angry. You see, now I recognize the pattern. Now, I make choices. I still binge, but I usually catch myself doing it. I am able to adjust my behavior to lessen the severity of the binge and often interrupt the behavior entirely.
In the following video I share a recent experience I had eating emotionally.
