Good Food, Bad Food: Vegetarainism

Posted by Matt on July 19th, 2010 at 03:00pm

Vegetarianism is a diet that abstains from eating animals. That means no steak, chicken, pork or any other meat. Many adherents claim that it is a healthier way to eat, as vegetarians consume less saturated fat and cholesterol than meat eaters. However, a vegetarian diet can still include pizza, fries, chips and other junk food. Not (necessarily) healthy at all!

However, eating vegetarian one or a few nights a week is a great way to put healthy vegetables and nutrients into your diet. For healthy vegetarian options, check out these recipes:

Roasted Summer Ratatouille

Garlic Cabbage Rolls with Rice Stuffing

Bean and Veggie Enchiladas
