Healthy Summer Party Food

Summer is filled with great outdoor BBQs, pool parties and picnics. But with all those fun invitations, comes the endless buffets, dessert tables and cocktails. We know it can be tough to find healthy options when you’re out at a party, so we have collected some healthy versions of our favorite recipes. Most of these recipes are quick and easy and are great for crowds. They are easy to tweak for dietary restrictions as well.

Grilled Shrimp Toasts with Fresh Salsa – This fresh summer appetizer is full of crisp, refreshing flavors. This is a great poolside snack or party platter item. The fresh salsa and shrimp are a great flavor combo and made even better by the fact that they are low-fat.

Crispy Zucchini Dippers – These zucchini sticks are a great alternative to fried zucchini. They make a great appetizer that you can even fool the kids into eating. The zucchini “fries” are fun to dip and would pair well with a low-fat yogurt sauce or a marinara.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries – Forgot those fatty french fries and slice up some sweet potatoes for the oven. These will satisfy your craving and are delicious with fresh herbs or a sprinkling of curry powder.
