Lasagna Birthday Dinner

Posted by Christine on August 28th, 2009 at 09:05am

Yesterday was my fiance’s birthday. We didn’t do anything  too special, but we had his family over for dinner. We made lasagna, not the good stuff, but the frozen store-bought kind. If he likes it, then we eat it, after all, it was his special day. I would have loved to make lasagna from scratch, but there just wasn’t enough time. I’ve never done that before, but I don’t find it to be all that difficult. You make some noodles, through some sauce on, throw some more noodles on and add the cheese, then bake. How hard can that really be? It’s just time consuming.

Some lasagna recipes that intrigue me are easy low-fat lasagna and fresh garden lasagna. A very different lasagna you will never imagine is a pasta dish is apple lasagna. Add some fruit and some sugar, change everything to low-fat or fat-free and you have a healthy and different kind of lasagna. This is a perfect dessert dish.
