Pizza: Good Food or Bad Food?

Hopefully, most people know that a slice of pizza is far from the healthiest food item around. But did you know that one slice of Meat Lover’s pizza at Pizza Hut has over 1200 grams of sodium and a slice of pepperoni pizza at Papa John’s has 16 grams of fat. Holy cow!
But pizza can (surprisingly) be healthy! For healthier pizza options, try these recipes:

Ooh! Those numbers on fat and sodium aren’t pretty. Pizza should definitely be made at home. This way it can actually be made healthful & delicious with things like whole grain crust, organic cheese, and an array of fresh veggies. That’s not so bad (smile)!

Stella –
I couldn’t agree more. Even if you don’t have the skills or desire to make your own pizza crust, plenty of places have decent ready-made whole wheat crusts. These days, I like to top my pizza with grilled zucchini and yellow squash. What are your favorite toppings?
